Indoor Track is a winter sport.
Outdoor Track is a spring sport.
Track and Field organized team practice will begin in late February. There are 18 events in track and field including the javelin, discus, shot put, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, hurdles, team relays and a variety of sprint and distance running events. Due to the fact that we can only enter 2 individuals per event, those participating in high school track meets is often limited. All students are, however, encouraged to join us in the spring for practice. Spring practice is an excellent opportunity for junior high students to get in shape, expose themselves to the different events and to begin perfecting form and technique.
